Jamilah Hud Kirk, principal at Fountain Elementary School in Forest Park, Georgia, created a weekly system at her school to celebrate and acknowledge teachers. Once a week she visits classrooms who meet usage and percent of lessons passed goals and celebrates the teacher in front of the class. She explains, "These teachers received accolades from the leadership team and myself in front of their class for having 100 percent of their students active for at least 30 minutes on last week's i-Ready with an average of 70 percent or more of lessons passed. They received beads to wear for the day, a certificate, and an entry into the monthly gift card raffle. Teachers need motivation as well!"
