Marleta Costner instituted a “Soar to the Top” bulletin board contest in her classroom to motivate students to complete the lessons in i-Ready. Marleta set up the contest so that students in the class would work together to get to the top of the board by passing 100 i-Ready lessons. If the class passes 100 lessons, they get to have a party! Marleta’s bulletin board uses bright colors and superhero imagery and language to motivate students to work hard on i-Ready.
