Jami Hitt, a teacher in Hawaii, created a Climbing the i-Ready Mountain Board. She explains, "To celebrate growth in my classroom, I created a door decoration that includes a mountain with hikers climbing the mountain. Each hiker has a student's name on it. I separated my growth groups in increments of 10. The students with the most growth are at the top of the mountain. This visual allows students to see who is working really hard on increasing their scores. It also protects the privacy of students because I do not include exact growth scores. I also include a quote of the week our class has used above the mountain. Kūlia I Ka Nu‘u is a Hawaiian proverb meaning 'Strive to reach the summit.'"
