Create a School Leaderboard to Track and Display Schoolwide Class Progress

Educators in North Carolina have created a leaderboard in their school that displays classroom progress toward the goal of having the most students with a 70% or more on i-Ready lessons. Ms. Jackie Richardson, a teacher at the school, says “Classes have a healthy competition to pass the most i-Ready lessons with a 70% or higher. Each class has a surfing shark (the school mascot) that surfs the grade-level wave to boost their place in the competition. Sharks move every two to three weeks when classes have passed lessons with at least a 70%. A leaderboard tracks the class leaders for the entire year.”
