Sandra Parrino, a teacher in Florida, created a 'We Charge Our Batteries with i-Ready' Board. She explains, "I needed a unique way to track student progress. So one day I began brainstorming and drawing some ideas up. I came up with a bulletin board idea: 'We Charge Our Batteries with i-Ready.' I drew a battery (image you see on your cell phone when it is charging). I drew it on regular size copy paper, horizontally. For each lesson passed my students get 1% on their individual batteries. Their batteries get updated every two weeks. The first 20 students to charge their batteries at 100% will be invited to a V.I.P i-Ready Celebration Pizza Party. This is a great way to track students and their progress and lessons passed. It also motivates them to try their best and use their technology time wisely."
