Create an i-Ready Expectations Anchor Chart

Elaine, an Educational Consultant, helps teachers create i-Ready Expectations Anchor Charts. She explains, “The clearer we can be as educators about what we need and expect from students, the more likely we are to get it. We create anchor charts to guide students’ behavior (e.g., Expectations while in the cafeteria, Actions to take as a reader when you get stuck, Problem solving steps, etc.). Creating an anchor chart about i-Ready expectations can contribute to the overall success of your students. Keep in mind that the chart should be created with students! You should discuss each point with them. Follow this exercise with modeling an i-Ready lesson so that your expectations become more than words on a chart!”
