Create i-Ready Support Emails to Send to Your Staff

Christi Moore, a reading interventionist and MTSS coach at Harold E. Winkler Middle School in North Carolina, shares some of her promising practices for writing an effective i-Ready support email to the teachers she works with.
1) Name the information you’re providing in the email up front.
2) Keep the email focused on 1–3 topics at most—people don’t like to read long emails; they prefer to scan.
3) If you’re explaining an i-Ready technical feature, use screenshots to help explain the process.
4) Provide actionable suggestions for how to use the i-Ready feature to support instruction or engage students.
