Display i-Ready Progress to Get Buy-in from Teachers
Vivian Reynolds, an educator in Mississippi, wanted to encourage her students to work diligently on their i-Ready Personalized Instruction lessons. She decided to create a school-wide display chart, which would track data for each grade level. “We displayed a chart for each grade level in the hallways. Each month as we check data and usage, we reward the classes that have shown the most progress. We used the Jaguars' ‘Making the Goal’ as our theme because our school mascot is a Jaguar!”
This approach ended up motivating the teachers as much as the students! “The teachers are very competitive, and when they saw the displays and knew it was a competition between classes, they began to really encourage their students to do their very BEST on i-Ready Personalized Instruction!”
