Encourage Reflection with an i-Ready Speed Bump Worksheet

Christi Moore, Reading Interventionist at Winkler Middle School in North Carolina, uses this i-Ready Speed Bump worksheet with her middle school students. She explains that this idea came from Dr. Alexis Nelson Morris, and is for students to reflect and learn when they do not pass online lessons. First students reflect on whether they put forth their best effort. Students then use a "question analysis" protocol to answer the questions from the lesson. Mrs. Moore then has an artifact of student thinking to use during conversations with students to discuss gaps and Online Instruction behavior. Mrs. Moore uses the last page in the packet to track i-Ready lessons not passed so she knows when to conference with students.
