Have a “Build a Snowman i-Ready Challenge”
Kristen Alvarez, an educator in Arizona, created a "Build a Snowman i-Ready Challenge." She explains, "Every month we do a schoolwide i-Ready passed lessons challenge. We divide all students in Grades 2–5 into i-Ready teams. We label each team with a character from the program. They stay on the team all year. Each of the eight teams consist of about 35 students. For the month of January, we did a challenge to see which school team could make it to 400 i-Ready lessons passed. As students passed lessons, their i-Ready team earned a piece of their snowman. For every 50 passed lessons for the whole team, they would earn one piece of their snowman. The snowmen were displayed in the cafeteria for all to see."
