Have an i-Ready Battle of the Classes

Amy Almada, fifth grade teacher in Rhode Island, shares, "My students love a little healthy competition! We have been using our i-Ready gauges to track our own personal goals and the large thermometers to track our class goals. Each class has set a goal of passing 200 lessons. I teach two ELA classes and their thermometers are displayed right next to each other. They are racing to 200 lessons! The first class to get to 200 will earn a class incentive!" Creating a classwide goal makes learning a team effort, and is a great way to celebrate working in groups!
