Invite Families to Write Letters of Encouragement before an Assessment

Ingrid Reado, who teaches first and second graders, encouraged families to write personal letters to their children encouraging them to do their best. Ingrid placed these letters on students' desks prior to the Diagnostic. Students loved hearing advice, encouragement, and affirmations from their families! This is a great way to engage families in their students' learning and pump up students before an assessment.
