Kelly Carlstrom, an educator in Florida, picks a Star Student each quarter. She explains, "We choose a "Star Student" every quarter from each of our i-Ready remediation groups. The student is selected based on making good choices, following directions, helping others, staying on task, doing their very best, showing grit, and coming to groups ready to work on i-Ready. The "Star Student's" reward is to decorate one of our ceiling tiles and it will stay displayed throughout the school year. The tile must be decorated with something math related. The students seem to enjoy the recognition for doing great things and love to show off their very own piece of art."
