Send Virtual Personalized Messages to Celebrate Student Success

Educator Tiffany Williams shared her idea to celebrate student success while teaching remotely. Ms. Williams sent students fun, individualized messages featuring herself dressed up as different animals as a reward for success with i-Ready. She explained on Twitter, "Celebrations continue as my students reach their goals! Each student gets a personalized congratulations as they finish their initial Diagnostic. How are you reaching out to build relationships with your students (and families) as we pandemateach?" Ms. Williams emphasized the importance of making personal connections with her students, especially when learning remotely: "I feel it's very important to make connections and build relationships as we complete our distance learning. This is one way I celebrate with them." Try sending fun, individualized messages to students to celebrate their successes. Use email, your school's learning management system, snail mail, or in-person messages depending on your teaching and learning setting this year!
