Educational Consultant Sari Laberis visited a fourth grade classroom at Washington Elementary in West Palm Beach, Florida. Students were working on i-Ready Online Instruction lessons and capturing their learnings with an i-Ready journal. When students were on the computer, they had a laminated template to reference. As they worked on a lesson, they took notes and wrote in their journals. They wrote the date, lesson name and number, and what the lesson was about. They also wrote what they learned that day and anything they did not understand. The teacher explained to Sari that she looks through their journals weekly and then meets with students to review any conceptual gaps. Students also love taking their journals home monthly to share what they've learned with their families!
