Michelle King, Literacy Coach at Port Malabar Elementary in Florida, explains i-Ready incentives and systems at her school. "Our students were already receiving "Book Bucks" for lessons passed, so we implemented "Teacher Bucks" based on weekly Online Instruction reports. Educators can use Teacher Bucks as indicated in the i-Ready Incentives document (see attached picture) to choose the most appealing reward. Each month, we have a new challenge or prize for students in addition to their guaranteed Book Bucks. Winners this month get to have a silly string fight with our AP, PE Coach, and Tech Specialist. We try to make i-Ready fun while pushing students to achieve! The i-Ready Incentives document can be used to summarize the system and reward(s).”
