Ronica Lawrence, an educator in New York, uses the i-Ready Student Performance report when holding individual data chats with her students. She explains, "I love to use the i-Ready performance report to know exactly which standards the students have mastered (green checks), and the ones they still need support with (white checks). As I work one-on-one with each student, I explain to them that together we can do mini-lessons and we can check off the white check marks. My students will tell you the green checks are the things we knew how to do and the white ones are ones we still need to work on. Students have great ownership! I keep evidence in their folders for data meetings."
