The i-Ready team shared some virtual class incentives for motivating students to do their best on the i‑Ready Diagnostic. Here are some awesome examples of incentives for the whole class:

Virtual class dance party: Play fun music, take a break from sitting, and dance!  

Virtual class dress-up: Students can wear pajamas, their favorite color, hat, or sunglasses for the day. 

Vote on a read aloud: Students submit their choices for a favorite book for their teacher to read and vote to choose a book for their teacher to read aloud via their school’s videoconferencing software. 

Virtual field trip: Students can vote on the location of a virtual field trip! Great Barrier Reef? Antarctica? The moon? Suggest some options and let students vote on where they want to “go.” 

Choose teacher’s hair style or dress-up outfit: Students can vote on a silly hair style or outfit for their teacher to wear for the day.
