Use i-Ready Reflection Journals During Online Instruction
Sari Laberis, educational consultant, visited Washington Elementary in West Palm Beach, Florida. As students in a third grade classroom worked on i-Ready Online Instruction lessons, they completed a journal entry for each lesson. Students wrote the date, lesson name, and quiz score at the top of a page. Then, they wrote what they learned and anything they were confused about after completing the lesson. This not only created an artifact of learning for the student, but also allowed the teacher to check in on progress and address any misunderstandings or misconceptions. Students were engaged in their i-Ready Online Instruction and couldn't wait to share what they learned!
